Local deliveries INCLUDE ANY DELIVERY WITHIN A 20 MILE RADIUS OF THE STORE
Effective Immediately: Freight Surcharge Imposed on Country Farm & Home Deliveries
We've held off as long as we could, but we need to impose a freight surcharge to help us cover the increased cost of diesel fuel if we want to keep our delivery trucks on the road.
All of our delivery fees were originally calculated with a diesel cost of $3.50/gallon. With average diesel cost creeping close to $6.00/gallon, we have been paying an extra $.27 per mile to operate our trucks that we cannot continue to absorb.
Moving forward, there will be a separate line item on your delivery order for "Freight Surcharge". This will remain separate from your delivery fee and will fluctuate as diesel costs fluctuate. Should the cost of diesel resume to normal levels, we will do away with the freight surcharge completely.
For local deliveries, the freight surcharge will be calculated per mile based on your distance from our store. For delivery routes, the freight surcharge will be calculated based on the weight of your order. Currently, here is how freight surcharges will be calculated:

How to Schedule a Local Delivery
Call the store at 919-542-3353 or email deliveries@chathamfarmsupply.com to place your order.
To pay for your order:
- Pay cash or check
- Pay via our ACH Payment Link
- Pay with a card in-person or over the phone.
Currently we are handling deliveries on a first come, first serve basis and trying to keep two drivers rolling when we can. Sometimes we can get to you same day, but as a rule, expect a 2-5 day wait time on delivery. (Spring is our busiest time of year. Be prepared to experience increased wait times and plan accordingly.)

Please note these are baseline delivery fees dependent of mileage. If we have to send additional manpower for heavy lifting, unhitch trailers on your property, and in other ways extend our stay and labor at your farm, we will need to adjust the delivery fee accordingly. Hay deliveries are special in that they require extra time and labor. Please see our price sheet below for additional fees and labor costs.
Beyond 20 Miles?
